Vitamin-D Benefits and Its Relationship to Coral Calcium

We have been hearing a lot about Vitamin D lately on radio, television and in the newspapers. I began my research 35 years ago Watching a medical doctor use it to cure cancer. Yes that’s right. He was curing cancer with Vitamin D.
I would like to quote Andrew Jones (AJ), MD, Senior Medical Advisor, Women’s Health Institute of Texas, in his recent article entitled “Can This One Simple Vitamin Unlock the Secrets to Good Health”.
Quote from Dr Jones, “Cancers, heart disease, inflammations, managing pain, and yes even your very bones are all controlled by this common vitamin.”
Another quote from Dr Jones: “If you are listening to this talk, I can practically guarantee you one thing, and that is “you are definitely suffering from Vitamin D deficiency”.
This is not scare mongering, hype or market puffery. It is the plain, unvarnished truth according to the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine in their recent scientific publication, “Vitamin D Deficiency is Pandemic”. That means that it is totally out of control.”
Another quote, “If you think Vitamin D only affects your bones, think again. In recent years medical investigators have reopened research into this common vitamin, and have come away with a new found respect for its wide ranging health and healing properties. Their overwhelming consensus? “Vitamin D3 supplementation is absolutely necessary. And lots of it.”
And the final quote from Dr. Jones, “Vitamin D3 is one of the few vitamins the body can actually manufacture itself, through a complex process involving sunlight. But this is not enough. In fact a recent study found that 83% of the people in Saudi Arabia were found to be Vitamin D deficient. And you cannot find a sunnier place than Saudi Arabia.”
At one point in his article, Dr. Andrew Jones (AJ) writes that “Men women and children are all equally affected as vitamin-D deficiency does not discriminate”. I totally agree with this statement. But he then goes on to write that “It affects the entire population, regardless of skin color, gender or age”. This is simply not true as studies have shown that while White America is about 70% vitamin-D deficient, while Black America is 95% deficient and the Hispanics are about 85% deficient. The Blacks have a natural sunscreen called Melanin in their skin which evolved to protect humans from blistering solar radiation. It is very effective sun block as Blacks require 10 to 50 times the exposure to sun as Whites to produce the same amount of vitamin-D. A White man sunbathing for 20 minutes produces more vitamin-D that a Black man sunbathing all day long.
However, exposure to sunshine is only a part of the equation. Dr Jones does not discuss the fact that altitude also plays a major role in the production of vitamin-D by the skin. People who live at high altitudes can produce substantially more Vitamin D than those living at sea level because at high altitudes there is more UV light. This is probably why the healthiest people in the world almost all live at high altitudes. For example the Azerbaijanis in Russia, the famous Bamas of China, the Vilca Bomba Indians in Peru, the Titicaca Indians of Ecuador and the famous Hunzas of Pakistan. Disease is virtually non existent with these people living high in the mountains. They also live decades longer than Americans.
The only exception is the people of Okinawa who live nine years longer than their counterparts in mainland Japan, a people who also live none years longer than Americans. That is a total of 18 years and we all can cherish what just one year of life is worth. And the Okinawans live 18 years longer than we do and they have ten times as many centenarians. Also, disease is virtually unknown to the Okinawans.
Several scientific studies commissioned by the Japanese government and done by scientists of the University of Tokyo have all concluded that the reason for the phenomenon of good health, long life and the youthful age (a 100 year old man in Okinawa does the physical labor of a 20 year old man), all studies concluded that the reason was the consumption of the calcium in the coral water, or coral calcium. That’s right folks, coral calcium. Scientific studies have thus concluded that coral calcium was responsible, even though the FDA claims that there is no scientific evidence that coral calcium can cure anything. These findings are consistent with the fact that 600 years ago the Spanish Scientists concluded that the reason for the good health and youthful bodies was that coral was added to the food so the Spanish filled their ship holds with coral instead of the customary bullion to take back to Spain. They believed that they had found the fountain of youth. Spanish chemists analyzing the coral found the main component to be calcium so they referred to the product as “coral calcium”. Spanish doctors believed that they had found a drug that could cure all diseases.
It is also interesting to note the fact that large consumption of calcium has been proven by scientists all over the world to help prevent and to cure most diseases such as cancer, and coral calcium contains large amounts of absorbable calcium. Add this to the fact that Vitamin D causes the body to absorb 20 times as much calcium and you can see why the people at high altitudes have the ability to absorb much more calcium and therefore cure disease, than those who live at sea level.
Also, at high altitudes it does not rain and the only source of water is melting glaciers. When a glacier melts, the ground up rock contained in the ice makes the water look muddy and white. The inhabitants call the water, “milk of the mountains” and drink it, mud and all. Ironically, chemical analysis shows that the milk of the mountains contains over 17,000 milligrams of calcium per quart which is 17 times as much calcium as is found in cow’s milk. And they drink several quarts each day for the equivalent of a hundred quarts of milk a day It also contains huge amounts of magnesium, 16,000 milligrams per quart, magnesium being another crucial element of good health, along with 60 trace metal nutrients and marine microbes that help the digestive system. Thus, the vitamin-D production and large calcium consumption at high altitudes plays a crucial role in good health.
The problem that we have in America today is that vitamin-D deficiency is rampant. Even though the sunbathing Whites have less deficiency than the cancer ravished Blacks, most Whites are still vitamin-D deficient. It is difficult to solve the problem with supplements as the FDA only allows 400IU daily, a ridiculously low quantity. It works out to be one one hundredth of a milligram, almost nothing. Most medical researchers today believe that 5000IU should be the minimum dose, with 10,000IU preferred.
Back in the late 1920’s when taking vitamins was very popular, the average women would take 20 milligrams of vitamin-D along with 10 milligrams each of vitamins E and A. The result was hospital beds became empty as no one was getting sick. This created a medical emergency so the medical authorities got together and gave 7 medical students enough Vitamin D to kill a horse. Of course the kids got sick and the medical authorities used this as an excuse to remove Vitamin D from the grocers’ shelves. This resulted in a public outcry so loud that the President of the United States had to commission a study to prove whether Vitamin D was indeed toxic. He chose the University of Chicago Medical Faculty led by Dr. Frock who used hundreds of scientists and hundreds of medical doctors to do a ten year study using thousands and thousands of animals and people.
In the meantime, medical authorities had to find a way to make people stop taking vitamins. They decided to use numbers psychology on the public and took the crucial vitamins, D, E and A, and converted the units of measurement from milligrams to International Units or IU’s. The 20 milligrams of vitamin-D that the average woman was taking became 1,000,000 IUs which sounded like it was enough to kill someone. Thus the 10.000IU that our scientists are recommending today is in reality. Only 1/5th of a milligram, a very small amount, while the 400Ius recommended by the FDA is only one one hundredth of a milligram, not enough to do any good, the goal being to keep people sick and on drugs.
In 1938 when the Frock report was released it concluded that no amount of Vitamin D was toxic, absolutely no amount of vitamin-D was toxic. They further concluded that if a woman were to take 20 milligrams or 1,000,000 IU daily she would indeed ward off diseases such as cancer, lupus, MS, etc.
The drug industry responded by manufacturing three of the best selling drugs of the time that were nothing more than Vitamin D placebos. These drugs were Dalsol, Deltalin, and Drisdol. Even though the amounts of Vitamin D in them were hundred to thousands of times the recommended RDA for vitamin-D, to this day the FDA and drug industry still insinuate that taking more than 400IU of Vitamin D, it “could be toxic, and yet the FDA approved these drugs hundreds of times this amount. This helps explain Dr Andrew Jone’s sub title “Vitamin-D – Natures “Quiet Treasure” Big Pharmaceutical Companies Hoped Would Stay Buried!” Thus, not only does the drug industry know that Vitamin D is not toxic; they also have proof that it terminates disease. The drug industry could sell you a million international units of Vitamin D in a drug that was not toxic, but if you purchased the Vitamin D in a store it suddenly becomes toxic, according to the FDA.
This is consistent with the reality that the Vitamin D deficient Black community, who avoid the sun like the plague, have about three times as much cancer as the Whites, whereas if you go over to Africa where, with the same skin they are in the sun all day long, cancer virtually does not exist. Also if you draw a line across the center of the United States from east to west, you will find that there is 270% more cancer in the North compared to the sun soaked South. That is almost three times as much cancer in the northern states as is found in the southern states.
Then doctors will tell you that the sun causes skin cancer. This is simply not true. Arizona is 48th and Florida is 45th with skin cancer while Ohio with little sun is ramped with skin cancer. Most of the northern states have far more skin cancer than the sunny South. Also, in Arizona it is not the locals who get skin cancer, but rather the visiting white albino from Detroit or the white albino from Calgary Canada. And if you go to the equator you will find that many diseases do not even exist, such as MS and Lupus. The farther away from the equator, the more disease you get.
The leading researcher today on vitamin-D toxicity, Dr Reinhold Veith, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, University of Toronto, writes, “I am amazed at the lack of evidence supporting the statements about the toxicity of moderate doses of Vitamin D and the literature citations supporting toxicity have a been either inappropriate or without any substance at all”. Well, Dr. Veith should not be amazed as he knows that the drug industry has massive, massive campaigns to discredit vitamins in hopes of increasing their drug sales. Dr. Veith however does go on to say that studies have proven that there are no adverse effects of taking 10,000IU Vitamin D daily, just 1/5th of a milligram.
Dr. Joseph Mercola of the Harvard School of Public Health discovered that there was a significant association between vitamin-D deficiency and prostate cancer risk. Dr. Jonathan Wright points out in his Nutrition and Healing Newsletter that “sun exposure is not only good for you, but that it is absolutely essential”. Despite these facts, doctors all over America are telling their patients that God made a mistake as the sun causes cancer, avoid the sun they say. Nothing could be farther from the truth as scientists have proven that 15,000IU of Vitamin D destroys the telomeres end capping the cancer chromosomes resulting in the cancer dying shortly thereafter. Thus the sun, by producing the vitamin-D, kills cancer, the doctors are wrong; God did not make a mistake. Also Vitamin D has been shown to make cancer loose its blood supply and thus the ability to grow inducing cell apoptosis or cell death.
Finally Vitamin D deficiency is involved in inflammation of the body, causing diseases such as Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, crones disease, colitis, heart disease, stroke, joint pains, back aches, head aches, weak and brittle bones, and many, many more. My God!
So the question remains, “How much vitamin-D should you take?” Twenty milligrams daily or 1,000,000IU has been proven to be safe and effective, but the amount is much higher than is currently being recommended, 10,000IU, or one fifth of a milligram.
There is no excuse for not getting enough Vitamin D. Your health depends on it. So start taking your vitamin-D3 today and tomorrow your body will thank you for doing so.
